<h1>Winter Review: Plants and Ecosystems</h1>
<h2>Week 20 • Monday • Life Science</h2>
<h3>📖 Reading Time</h3>
<div class="reading-box">
<p>This winter we became life scientists! We learned so much about living things. Let's remember it all.</p>
<p>First we studied plants. Plants need sunlight, water, air, and soil to grow. A plant has roots, a stem, leaves, and flowers. Roots drink water from the soil. The stem carries water up. Leaves catch sunlight to make food. Flowers make seeds for new plants.</p>
<p>Then we learned about ecosystems. An ecosystem is a habitat plus all its living and non-living parts. Plants are producers. Animals are consumers. Everything in an ecosystem depends on everything else. Remember your terrarium? It is a tiny ecosystem in a jar!</p>
</div>
<h3>✏️ Review Questions</h3>
<p>1. What four things do plants need to grow?</p>
<div class="answer-line"></div>
<p>2. Which plant part drinks water from the soil?</p>
<div class="answer-line"></div>
<p>3. Which plant part makes food from sunlight?</p>
<div class="answer-line"></div>
<p>4. What are the two kinds of parts in an ecosystem?</p>
<div class="answer-line"></div>
<h3>📝 Vocabulary Review Grid</h3>
<p>Write what each word means. These are all from this winter!</p>

<h1>Plant Parts and Growth</h1>
<h2>Week 20 • Monday • Page 2</h2>
<h3>🔍 Plant Parts Match</h3>
<p>Draw a line from each plant part to its job.</p>
<table>
<tr><th>Plant Part</th><th></th><th>Its Job</th></tr>
<tr><td>roots</td><td style="width:80px;"></td><td>catch sunlight to make food</td></tr>
<tr><td>stem</td><td></td><td>make seeds for new plants</td></tr>
<tr><td>leaves</td><td></td><td>drink water from the soil</td></tr>
<tr><td>flowers</td><td></td><td>carry water up the plant</td></tr>
</table>
<h3>🔍 How a Plant Grows</h3>
<p>Number these steps from 1 to 4.</p>
<table>
<tr><th>Step</th><th>Number (1-4)</th></tr>
<tr><td>The plant grows flowers and makes new seeds.</td><td style="height:22px;"></td></tr>
<tr><td>A seed is planted in the soil.</td><td style="height:22px;"></td></tr>
<tr><td>A small sprout pushes up out of the soil.</td><td style="height:22px;"></td></tr>
<tr><td>The sprout grows a stem and leaves.</td><td style="height:22px;"></td></tr>
</table>
<h3>✏️ True or False</h3>
<table>
<tr><th>Statement</th><th>T</th><th>F</th></tr>
<tr><td>Plants need sunlight to make food.</td><td>T</td><td>F</td></tr>
<tr><td>Roots catch sunlight for the plant.</td><td>T</td><td>F</td></tr>
<tr><td>An ecosystem has living and non-living parts.</td><td>T</td><td>F</td></tr>
<tr><td>Plants are consumers.</td><td>T</td><td>F</td></tr>
<tr><td>A seed can grow into a new plant.</td><td>T</td><td>F</td></tr>
<tr><td>A terrarium is a tiny ecosystem.</td><td>T</td><td>F</td></tr>
</table>
<h3>🎨 Drawing</h3>
<p>Draw a plant. Label the roots, stem, leaves, and flower.</p>

<p>2. The ________________ hold the plant in the ground.</p>
<p>3. Flowers make ________________ for new plants.</p>
<p>4. Plants are ________________ because they make food.</p>
<p>5. Animals are ________________ because they eat food.</p>

<h3>🔍 Ecosystem Connections Chart</h3>
<p>Finish each sentence to show how things are connected.</p>
