<p>Every November, the United States celebrates <strong>Native American Heritage Month</strong>. Many places also celebrate <strong>Indigenous Peoples' Day</strong> in October. Museums like the National Museum of the American Indian share art, stories, and treasures. Powwows welcome visitors to watch dancing, hear drumming, and taste delicious foods like frybread.</p>
<p>But YOU can honor Native peoples every day: learn whose land you live on, read books by Native authors, listen to Native storytellers and musicians, and always speak about Native peoples in the present — because they are here, now, thriving.</p>
