<p>Imagine walking into Olympia during the games! Tens of thousands of visitors camped in tents all around the town. The air smelled of roasting meat and fresh bread from food sellers' stalls. Poets recited, musicians played, and traders sold pottery, ribbons, and souvenirs — a lot like a giant fair today.</p>
<p>The stadium at Olympia could hold around 40,000 people! Fans sat on grassy banks under the hot summer sun, cheering for the athletes of their home city-state. Judges called <strong>Hellanodikai</strong> wore purple robes and made sure everyone followed the rules.</p>
<p>Athletes trained for months and promised Zeus they would compete fairly. Anyone caught cheating had to pay for a bronze statue of Zeus as punishment — and their name was written on it for all to see. Fair play mattered, even 2,500 years ago!</p>
