⭐ Greece Geography Review

Week 6 • Friday • Showing What We Know

📖 Reading Time

What a week of exploring! We sailed to ancient Greece, a rocky land in Europe beside the Mediterranean Sea. We learned that Greece is full of mountains and hundreds of islands, so Greeks became expert sailors and traders.

Because mountains separated the cities, Greece was made of city-states that ruled themselves. Athens loved art, learning, and voting. Sparta loved strong soldiers. Each city-state had its own leaders, army, and coins.

Greek farmers grew olives and grapes on the hills, and traders sailed away with olive oil, wine, and painted pottery. And we discovered a big idea: geography — the land and water around us — shapes how people live, in ancient times and today!
