You are now a liquids expert! You know that liquids flow. They take the shape of their container. You raced honey, water, and oil. You saw that thick liquids flow slowly.
You also learned about density. Oil floats on water because it is less dense. Some scientists layer many liquids in one jar. Honey sinks to the bottom. Water sits in the middle. Oil floats on top. It looks like a rainbow tower!
Today you will review everything about liquids. Then you will build your own density column. Get ready to layer it!

You need: a clear jar, honey, water, and oil. Ask a grown-up to help pour.
Pour honey in first. Then slowly pour water down the side. Last, pour the oil. Watch the three layers form! Add a drop of food coloring to make the water layer pop.
